Exporting an Access Database to MySQL

If you want to export your Access database to a MySQL database, you need to follow the following steps:

  1. Open up the database in Access
  2. Click on the table
  3. Click file/export
  4. Save as type ODBC Database
  5. Name the table
  6. file data source/new
  7. MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver
  8. Next
  9. Type the name that you want to save this connection as. This can be anything that will help you to remember it
  10. You need to fill in the appropriate mySQL server information
  11. Click ok
  12. Select the source and click ok/next
